Vol. 3, Issue 1: Discovering Identity

For Vol. 3, Issue 1: Discovering Identity, The Asexual journal is interested in submissions which examine the intricacies of coming into contact with one’s identity. Authors may choose to address this theme with attention to the broad or the specific, the direct or the abstract. The questions below are only included to inspire not to constrict. Please do not feel obligated to answer any of these questions in your submissions:

  • How would you describe your search through the maze of identity?

  • What did “first contact” feel like?

  • Is negotiating your relationship to identity an ongoing process?

  • What forces encouraged you positively or negatively on this journey?

  • How have you navigated self-discovery?

  • How has your discovery altered how others understand your identity?

  • Is the social process of discovering identity helpful or harmful?

  • What system(s) does this process serve?
